Lead Digital Software Development / People Manager (f/d/m) who wants to play a leading role in the management of our digital products and solutions development teams. A successful candidate will be responsible for cross-functional experts and mainly focused on building effective vertical SW development teams that deliver sustainable value with end-to-end responsibility.

Responsibilities

  • Disciplinary superior of vertical delivery teams and product foundation teams
  • Responsible for hiring, staffing & sourcing of teams, partners and external contractors
  • Servant leadership for individual productivity & high motivation of team members (incl. empathy and guidance)
  • People development and team-level coaching (organizational, personal)
  • Provide opportunities for individuals to grow and take accountability
  • Responsible for high-performance, effective & efficient vertical team setups (end-to-end, cross-functional, self-contained, inspect & adapt, etc.)
  • Focus on strengths-based leadership to empower and enable teams of individual contributors of various skills & backgrounds
  • Advocate and driver of Vorwerk’s leadership principles: Autonomy, Trust, Purpose, Learning & Walk the Talk
  • Balance the need for swarming, synchronization & integration with the principles of distributed authority, team responsibility and community work
  • Responsible for financial planning for team and supplier setups
  • Participate in portfolio, product & program planning to represent the people & team perspective
  • Drive cultural diversity, sustainability, equal opportunity and inclusive management principles
  • Resource manager for product delivery activities
  • Contact point for people & culture topics in close cooperation with the HR department

Requirements

  • Successfully completed Information Technology studies, an equivalent education or equivalent work experience
  • Several years of relevant working experience as servant leader within the Software development of digital products and services, including disciplinary leadership responsibility
  • Knowledge and understanding of software development and digital technologies (web, cloud, app, global platforms, commerce)
  • Independence, team spirit, enthusiasm, and integration skills, as well as a strong ability to network and shape positive working relationships
  • Proficient in modern large scale Agile methodologies (SAFe, LeSS, etc.) and group dynamics (e.g. Tuckman Model, etc.)
  • Strong focus on customer value and customer experience
  • Extensive capability to communicate and interact internationally and on all management levels
  • Business fluent English and German language skills
