Information obligation

Information obligation pursuant to Article 13 of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)

1. Information to be provided where personal data is collected
This data protection notice provides information about the processing of your personal data in connection with the use of the applicant portal, which is operated by Vorwerk SE & Co. KG  as well as their subsidiaries.
1.a. Contact details of the controllers and Data Protection Officers
Overview of the companies involved in this applicant portal and their data protection officers with the corresponding contact details (see below).
2. Processing purposes and legal basis
Your personal data which you communicate to us via the applicant portal will only be stored and used for purposes which are connected with the collecting and processing of your interest in employment or in an apprenticeship (= initiation of an employment relationship, Article 6(1)(b) GDPR) at a company belonging to the Vorwerk SE & Co. KG  including the necessary establishment of contact.
In individual cases, we may also obtain your consent to the processing (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR) of your data. This may be the case, for example, if your application is stored for a longer period of time or if your application is considered for another position within the groups. Your consent in these cases is voluntary and you have the right to withdraw such consent at any time in the future.
3. Recipients or categories of recipients
As part of the application process, your application data is accessible to the personnel managers of the group company involved in the selection process and is made available to the managers of the relevant departments.
The current legal situation on data protection does not include an intra-group exemption, i.e. any transfer of data from one group company to another is a transfer to a third party. We therefore require your consent if your application is also to be forwarded to another group company. Your data will only be passed on to third parties outside the group if a regulatory order has been issued or with your consent. In the case of an unsolicited application, your documents will be screened by the personnel department of Vorwerk SE & Co. KG and, where appropriate, made available to all group companies; your consent in that regard will be obtained separately.
A transfer to a third country does not take place.

4. Rights of the data subject
You have a right to information (Article 15 GDPR) about the personal data stored about you, about the purposes of the processing, about possible transfers to other recipients and about the duration of the storage.
If data is incorrect or no longer required for the purposes for which it was collected, you have the right to rectification (Article 16 GDPR), erasure (Article 17 GDPR), restriction of processing (Article 18 GDPR) and data portability (Article 20 GDPR).
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority pursuant to Article 77 GDPR.
Should your particular personal situation give rise to reasons that speak against the processing of your personal data, you may object to such processing if the processing is based on a legitimate interest on our part (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR). In such a case, we will only process your data if there are compelling legitimate grounds
Withdrawal of any declarations of consent
If you have given us your consent to process your data, you can withdraw it at any time - including by e-mail to the Vorwerk group company to which you have sent your application. An overview of the relevant contacts can be found in the list above in clause 1.a.
A withdrawal does not affect the legality of the processing carried out up to that point.
Exercise of your rights
If you have any questions regarding the processing of your personal data or the exercise of your rights, please contact the data protection officer of the relevant group company to which you have addressed your application.
If you submit an unsolicited application, please address your request to the data protection officer of Vorwerk SE & Co. KG.

5. Deletion of the data and reduction to basis
Your personal data will only be stored as long as the knowledge of the data is necessary for the initiation or, where applicable, execution of an employment relationship.
If a contractual relationship is not concluded, we will store your application data for a maximum of 6 months for purposes of evidence of compliance with the German General Equal Treatment Act (AGG).
If you would like your personal data to be kept for more than 6 months and up to a maximum of 24 months in order to be included in the selection process for possible future vacancies, please give us your consent.
If your application does not lead to you being hired during this period (6 or 24 months, as applicable), your data will automatically be reduced to your basic data. This basic data is retained for internal, statistical purposes only. This basic data is not processed in a way that allows persons to be identified.

The basic data includes:

- COUNTRY
- NATIONALITY
- TITLE
- DATE OF BIRTH
- MEANS OF INITIAL CONTACT

6. Why the provision of the data is necessary

If you do not provide us with this data, it will not be possible to conclude a corresponding contract or to take steps prior to entering into a contract.
